Only the first post shows the date

Today I received an email from Rizaro asking me why all the dates for his post were missing except for the first post as you can see on the image below;

For his sake I did manage to squeeze the time to look upon his blog. After tweaking here and there with his HTML template that he had sent to me earlier, I realized that there was something wrong with his Dilectio's template.

Below is a list of recommendations to solve the problem of the missing date on his blog;
  1. Download Dilectio blogger's template on eBlog Templates

  2. For 'Read More' tweak, please refer to my other blog's posts, Summary Expandable Hack or Another Summary Expandable Tweak

  3. To solve the comment form placement, it's advisable to read Comment Form Placement

  4. Voila! All dates will be shown and I'm sure your Dilectio blogger's template has been improved.

That's it for now. Hopefully the above post will help Rizaro somehow. If you're in need of any help, lease tell me about it. God's willing, I shall find the answer for you. See you around my friend.

Greetings and lots of love from Kuale Kangsor, Malaysia.

Hola Adam,

This is what David (eBlog Templates' founder) said;

If your individual blog post date stamp doesn’t show up, you’ll need to make one more change. Go into your Blogger’s “Settings” tab and then click on “Formatting”. Next, change the “Timestamp Format” (it’s the 4th one down) to this format => “Wednesday, February, 2008″. Make sure you change the “Timestamp Format” and NOT the “Date Header Format”. Many people in the past have told me it didn’t work only to find out they were changing the wrong field.

Hope that help.

Greetings and lots of love from Kuale Kangsor.

Thank you, I have fixed the days in boxes but is there any chance that the time of posting be shown too?

Thanks a lot :)

ArahMan7 said...

Hola Lavinia,

For some reason, Dilectio does not show the time. When I changed to the time on Page Elements --> Edit Blog Posts --> at [time] (box no. three from top), the date in the boxes won't show up.

I didn't realized about the time, not until you posted the question. Dilectio is really strange.

Anyway, give me some times to look further. I shall tell you about it later.

Thank you for the comment.

Greetings and lots of love from Malaysia.

OK, I hope you will solve this, it would be nice for this to be shown :))

Also how did you manage that comments are not in pop-up window but here on the page?

Thanks! :)) Have a nice day!

Hola Lavinia,

After looking it through and compared it other templates, it's not possible to show the time if you're to use the box for the dates. In other words, you've to discard the box if you wanna show the time. Comprende?

For inline comment please refer to this post on my other blog, BlogBeginners.com to read about comment form embedded below post.

Hope that's help.

en arahman, these are very useful tips...
i downloaded the xml template form somewhere else, but couldnt make it work.. the dates are missing, n also the comments form..
thank you, i managed to solve the problems..
but yet, im still working on the 'read more' tweak n the comment form placement.. tak jalan la..

by the way, do you know how to remove the 'Subscribe to Post comments (atom)..
is this may be useful to my blog in the future if I just keep it that way?

thank you

Hola Anon,

I'm glad this post has helped you in some way. For your information, if you followed the instructions for 'Read More' step by step, I'm sure you'll get it to work on your blog.

A question, why would you want to remove 'Post Comments (Atom)'? Maybe it's not important to you but your readers will find it very useful to them. It's sort of RSS for comments. As for me, I love to follow up any comments that I've posted.

Anyway, thanks for coming and comments. Do come back again. Maybe this time you would like to leave your blog's URL, but then there are some people who don't like free advertisement, lol!

Greetings and lots of love from Kuale Kangsor.

Hi ArahMan7,

Thanks for all the explanations. They were really helpful. I have another problem though. The archives don't work in the hierarchy setting. I mean, it works but it's not hierarchical. It only shows the years. Do you have a solution for that?

Thanks..

The Mom, PhD said...

It's me again. I just wanted to say that I already found the solution for the archive problem. But I couldn't post it in the comment section since it includes xml codes. Anyway, I'm gonna try to send it to you so maybe you blog about it.

The Mom, PhD said...

Hmm, your email link on the tabs doesn't work, so here's the solution:

Hola PhD Mom,

Thanks for the text on Rapidshare. I presume Contactify is down at the moment. Guess I've to find another way for my readers to contact me. Got any ideas PhD Mom?

Thank you again. I shall blog about the Archives' problem a.s.a.p!

Greetings and lots of love from Malaysia.

Sincerely yours,
